Who you are currently hearing from is me, Mahnoor.

I can not draw eyelashes for the life of me. Or hands. My jaw structure tends to be slightly off in all my portraits. I have yet to study and improve facial proportions within my drawings.

You will see mistakes on this blog. You will see unfinished art pieces, sentences with too many commas, and made-up words in my writings.

I make it a point to keep my creative work messy. I’m all for the process. I’m all for beginning projects and coming back to them, even if you’ve lost faith in your own creative abilities.

I’ve been down the rut of creative perfection and burnout before, which is why I intend to use Metacog Moon as a digital platform to encourage myself and others to create more- and do so relentlessly.

I am currently an undergraduate college student studying Psychology. I love reading fiction. I like a good comprehensive paragraph. Lists bore me. I love to sketch faces. I love looking at sculptures and drawing them. I love talking. I don’t always enjoy writing, but I always want to write more.

Through my blog, I hope to create a community of creatives and connect with like-minded individuals. I hope to encourage, inspire, and shed light on artists’ lives and stories through this platform. I invite you to join me. Welcome to Metacog Moon.
